Important Notice: Microsoft has officially ended support for MS SQL 2012

Important Notice: Microsoft has officially ended support for MS SQL 2012.

As we are sure you are already aware, as of July 12, 2022, Microsoft has officially ended support for MS SQL 2012.

Support for Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 will end on October 10, 2023.

Why must we upgrade to a later version of MS SQL?

End of support means regular security updates will no longer be provided. With cyberattacks becoming more sophisticated and frequent, running applications and data on unsupported versions can create significant security and compliance risks.

What does this mean in terms of our investment in IDU?

In the future, customers running SQL 2012 or earlier may not have access to new releases of IDU, including new features and functionality released in the system. We would therefore highly recommend that customers upgrade to the most current versions for better performance, efficiency, and regular security updates.

Please advise your IDU Consultant or Account Manager when you undergo an upgrade so we can update our records accordingly.

In addition, should you wish to book some time with your consultant to review your current IDU system setup, we will gladly arrange this to ensure that this is optimised and that you are getting the most out of your investment in IDU.
